Purton Management Team Depart
Purton Football Club have confirmed that their management team of Liam Lewis and Paul Farrell have both decided to leave the club following the announcement that the 2019-20 Season is over due to the Coronavirus.

Liam had been manager of Purton in all three of their three seasons back in the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League, following the club's drop down from the Hellenic League. In the first two of those seasons he was joint manager with Neil Lee and then, for the ultimately abandoned 2019-20 Season, he took over sole control with Paul as his assistant.

Season 2017-18 saw Liam and Neil steer Purton to a 6th place finish in the league table, winning 19 of their 32 league games. The following season they improved on that finishing one place higher in 5th spot. Neil Lee then departed taking over at Pewsey Vale Development at the start of the 2019-20 Season before he then joined Swindon & District league side Redhouse. Paul Farrell had already been part of the dugout team and he took over as Liam's assistant. At the time of suspension of football across the country Purton had sat in 6th spot having played 22 of their 28 league games, having won 10, drawn 5 and lost 7.

Anybody interested in taking over the manager position should contact club chairman Terry Crumbie on 07855 406662 or by email at terry.crumbie@gmail.com.
