Purton Football Club have moved quickly to replace their management team of Liam Lewis and Paul Farrell, who both left the club following the announcement that the 2019-20 Season was over due to the Coronavirus.
Taking over in the dugout for Season 2020-21 will be Dave Terry and Wayne Petrie who last season were the management team at Shrivenham Development in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division Two West. At the time the Coronavirus brought the season to a premature end, Shrivenham Development sat in fourth place in the table in the duo’s first season in charge. Previously the two had been part of the management team of Royal Wootton Bassett Town’s successful Sunday side, having also previously been involved with the Development side at the same club. Joining the duo in the management team for next season at Purton will be Danny Groom who was the third member of the Sunday side management group that won Division Two and then Division One of the Swindon Sunday League in consecutive seasons. That successful Sunday side included several players who were with Purton last season in the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League.
