The Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League are very pleased to announce that Mr Ken Clarke from Chippenham has accepted our offer to become President of the League in succession to the late Bill Shail.
Ken has been Secretary of the Step 5/6 Western League for many years. Prior to his Western League days, Ken served on the Wiltshire FA and was also a respected referee both on the Wiltshire League and higher up the league pyramid. Ken will bring a great deal of knowledge and experience to this League and will no doubt be a useful sounding board to any of our clubs wishing to progress through the National League System and to the League Committee in our dealings with the Step 5/6 Leagues into which we ourselves feed.
In other Committee news Steve Strong has decided to stand down from the League Committee creating another vacancy should anyone be interested in joining the Committee. Meanwhile two stalwarts of the League are busy ahead of the new season. Brian Busson, Registration Secretary has now served on the League Committee for some 20 seasons and is currently busy with the registrations for the new season. With additional U18 and Veteran’s sides to register this season alongside some new enhanced processes driven by the FA, clubs are asked to process their registrations on the Whole Game System in good order ahead of the season. Phil Cook, the Fixtures Secretary, is now preparing the fixtures for the 44th consecutive season. With the missing piece of information regarding the Step 5/6 clubs whose Development sides play in our league having been received on Tuesday, the fixtures for August are scheduled to be published shortly with Full Time to be updated for the new season in the coming days.
