Corsham Print
Wiltshire Senior League
AGM & Draft Constitution for Season 2020-21
The Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League’s 44th AGM is set to take place on Wednesday 17th June 2020 commencing at 7.30PM.

Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic, this will be an on-line meeting.  The League obviously cannot hold a “normal” AGM, but need to formally close last season, approve the previous season's AGM minutes, approve League Officer Reports and Accounts, etc plus elect new clubs, elect League Officers and approve the proposed rule amendments. Club Secretaries have been sent details of the logistics for the virtual AGM.

It is expected to be a relatively short meeting, just to get the formalities done and dusted.  Once the League have a date when it can commence fixtures, the intention is then to call a Special General Meeting where everyone can attend and treat that as a normal General Meeting.

Premier Division
The Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League is scheduled to have two additional clubs joining the Premier Division for Season 2020-21 and is proposing to run with 17 teams in the division. The increase in the number of teams and the constitution has been approved by both The FA and the Wiltshire County FA. Both new sides fully meet the ground grading requirements for membership of the league.

It is a welcome return to the league after one season away for one of the League’s founding members, Devizes Town Reserves. At the time of cessation of Season 2019-20 Devizes Town Reserves sat in second place in Division 1 of the Trowbridge & District League, level on points with leaders Marshfield but having played two more games than the leaders. This would have been an eligible promotion place and in agreement with both the Trowbridge & District League and the Wiltshire FA, Devizes Town Reserves will be promoted back to the Wiltshire Senior League under the Feeder League arrangements.

The other team joining the Premier Division are the reserve side of Western League side Odd Down, who are based just over the border in Somerset.

The two new teams are scheduled to be elected to the league at the League’s AGM on Wednesday 17th June, joining the existing 15 members in the Premier Division.

Whilst applications were received from teams playing in the Swindon & District League, in the end, there were no sides from that league who wished to move up and met all the criteria for promotion under the Feeder League arrangements.

The two new teams are scheduled to be elected to the league at the League’s AGM on Wednesday 17th June, joining the existing 15 members in the Premier Division

The proposed constitution of the Premier Division for Season 2020-21 is as follows:

Any clubs in Wiltshire, or within 20 miles of the Wiltshire County boundary, who have floodlights and are interested in joining our Under 18 Division for the 2020-21 Season should contact the League Secretary Jim Thorn at

Vets Division
After last season’s issues with pitch availability in the Vets Division the League has taken steps to ensure that third party facilities will be available for teams in the Vets Division to utilise, in addition to club’s that have their own facilities. At present, the League will be looking to hire New College Swindon on Tuesdays from 8:30 to 9:30pm and the new all-weather pitch at Wiltshire FA Headquarters at Devizes on both Monday and Tuesday nights, both 9:00 to 10:00pm.  Teams that have their own ground or access to a 3G pitch are welcome to apply.

The 16 teams listed below are those who were either in the Vets Division last season (and have not indicated that they don't wish to continue in Season 2020-21) or new teams that have recently requested League Application Forms:

AFC Swindon
Defence Academy FC
Devizes Town 1 FC*
Devizes Town 2 FC*
Chippenham Yard Dogs FC*
FC Calne*

Royal Wootton Bassett Town FC (Blue)
Royal Wootton Bassett Town FC (Yellow)

There is still capacity for additional sides who can utilise the third party hired facilities if they do not have their own facility available. Any teams that are interested in entering should contact Secretary Jim Thorn by email at

As per last season the Division will operate with league appointed referees and the proposed format for the Vets Division will be issued in due course once it is known how many teams confirm they will be entering.
