VFC Devizes & Redhouse go clear at the top
of their respective Vets Divisions

Redhouse Vets who went top of the North Wiltshire Division with a 2-0 win over KMLC

The Mid Wiltshire Vets Division saw one game played on Monday night and it resulted in a big win for VFC Devizes who went clear at the top of the table following their 6-2 success over FC Calne. Three goals in each half saw them complete a quick-fire double over the Calne side. Jonathan Emm, Nick Oram and player-manager Craig Townsend scoring before the break for VFC, before a second half hat-trick from Nick Oram, taking him to four in the game, made it six. That is now three wins from three for VFC Devizes ahead of this coming Monday night’s trip to Corsham Town.

The following night saw Amesbury Juniors pick up their first win of the season at the third attempt with a comprehensive 6-0 win over Chippenham Town Yard Dogs who were playing their first game of the season. Samuel Craig led the way with a hat-trick, Benjamin Taylor Brown bagged a brace and a further goal from Ryan Keightley completed the scoring. Both teams will again be in action at Devizes next week. On Monday night Amesbury Juniors meet FC Calne whilst the following night Chippenham Yard Dogs take on St Andrews.

The one game played in the North Wiltshire Division this week saw Redhouse move clear at the top of the table with their second win in as many games. Two goals from Nolan Paul did the damage against KMLC at New College. Next week at New College on Tuesday night two sides who lost their opening games, AFC Swindon and Stratton Juniors, will look to register their first points of the season.
