Redhouse who extended their lead at top of the North Wiltshire Division with a 6-2 win over Swindon Old Boys
A combination of waterlogged pitches and half-term school holidays meant just one game was played across the two Veterans’ divisions of the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League. The one game that did get played involved the leaders of the North Wiltshire Division, Redhouse, and Swindon Old Boys. When they had met earlier in the season back in September Redhouse had won 2-0 and were looking to complete a league double and open up a six-point lead at the top of the table given the other teams’ inactivity. Redhouse took full advantage winning their fifth straight league game. On target for them in their 6-2 win were Fred Galrito with two, making it five in Redhouse’s last two games, Michael Lichota who also bagged a brace, and there were further goals for Marc Connolly and Tafari Anderson. Replying for Swindon Old Boys were Ben Keating and David Morse.
A full round of fixtures is scheduled for next week including the remaining four games in the Second Round of the Wiltshire FA’s Veterans’ County Cup.
