Yard Dogs Continue Good Run,
Redhouse Progress in Cup

The final league game in the Mid Wiltshire Division was on Tuesday night and it saw Chippenham Town Yard Dogs continue their recent good run of form which has now seen them go unbeaten in their final five fixtures, four of which have been against sides in the top five of the division. On Tuesday night goals from Nicholls Still, with his ninth of the season, and Gino De Antonis, who took his personal tally for the season to seven, secured a 2-1 win over Amesbury Junior, player manager Iain Walker with the Amesbury goal.

There were scheduled to be two games in the First Round of the League Cup competition but in the end just the one game was played with South Cerney Rangers being unable to raise a side for their tie against Royal Wootton Bassett Town. The game that did get played saw Redhouse join Corsham Town in Round Two courtesy of a 5-0 win over AFC Swindon. Two more goals for Dave Rendle saw him move onto 26 for the season and there were further goals from Tafari Anderson, Michael Lichota and James Aghabi.
