There was just the one game played this week involving teams in the Under 18 Floodlight Division of the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League, with the cup semi-final between league leaders Kintbury Rangers and Radstock Town taking place on Monday night. The other semi-final between Calne Town and Royal Wootton Bassett Town and the league game between Warminster Town and Bradford Town were both postponed on Thursday night due to waterlogged pitches.
Whilst league leaders Kintbury are now looking odds on to lift the title, Radstock Town are the other form team in the division and went into the cup semi-final game on Monday on the back of a six-game unbeaten run that had seen them win five of those six games. The only game not won being a 2-2 draw with their cup opponents three weeks earlier. Once again it was a tight affair won by a headed goal from Radstock’s Ollie Thomas. Kintbury Rangers best chance of the game came with the award of a penalty which unfortunately for them was missed as it finished 1-0 to the visitors, who extended that unbeaten run to seven games. Radstock will meet the winner of the Calne Town and Royal Wootton Bassett on April 20th at Melksham Town’s ground.
