Radstock Town Shut Out
Kintbury Rangers Yet Again

Once again, the wet weather that has blighted 2024’s fixtures across the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League struck again this week in the Under 18 Floodlight Division causing the postponement of games at Calne Town and Melksham Town.

The two games that did go ahead both had an impact at the top end of the table, with both games ending in draws. On Monday night, league leaders Kintbury Rangers entertained Radstock Town at the Recreation Ground for the second time this season, Radstock having also visited in the League Cup. Having held the league leaders to a 0-0 draw at the end of 120 minutes in the cup tie Radstock once again achieved a shut-out against the Divisions leading scorers who had been averaging over four goals a game in the league ahead of Radstock’s latest visit. The 0-0 draw means Kintbury have now dropped the same number of points as nearest challengers for the title Bristol Manor Farm, with the two sides yet to meet so far this season. Kintbury sit two points clear at the top of the table, three points ahead of Manor Farm who have a game in hand.

Royal Wootton Bassett Town sit second in the table after finally achieving a result against Kingsdown at the third attempt. Kingsdown had beaten them twice earlier in the season, 1-0 in the first league meeting between the sides and 3-1 in the cup. The third meeting between the two sides again produced four goals but, on this occasion, it was honours even. Visitors Royal Wootton Bassett Town led twice through goals from Finlay Skittrall and Beau Hicks only to be pegged back on both occasions by Kingsdown. On target for the home side were Ben Payne and Nicholas Wilkes. Whilst Royal Wootton Bassett Town sit second in the table, they have now played four more games than Bristol Manor Farm and have just four more games left to play.
