The draws for the Preliminary Round and First Round of the Fountain Trophies Cup were made today by League Chairman Brian Busson and League Secretary Jim Thorn.

The Preliminary Round will involve four sides with the two games seeing new side Letcombe entertain fellow Premier Division side Shrewton United, four times winners of the cup, and Purton host fellow Division One side Kingsdown Development. Shrewton United last won the cup back in Season 2002-03.

Current cup holders Melksham Town Reserves are on of 30 sides who enter the competition at the First Round stage and have been drawn at home against fellow Premier Division side Blunsdon. As well as that game there are three more all Premier Division ties in the First Round as Faringdon Town host RWBT Dev, Calne Town Res travel to Malmesbury Vics Dev and Salisbury Dev entertain Pewsey Vale. Last season's beaten finalists start their attempt to reach the final for the third consecutive season with an away trip to Shrivenham Development. Most of the First Round games are set to be staged on Saturday 5th October 2024.
