Kintbury Rangers maintained their unbeaten start to the season with a hard fought 1-0 away win against
Salisbury Development, with the game being played on the new 3G pitch at Sarum. Last week Kye Williams had been the star of the show at Letcombe, hitting a hat-trick and it was he who got the decisive goal again this week as well, capitalising on a defensive error ten minutes from time to give Kintbury all three points as they extended their lead at the top of the table to eight points.

With Letcombe otherwise engaged in Fountain Trophies First Round action, and due to results elsewhere,
Wroughton moved up to second spot in the table with a 5-2 win over
Bemerton Heath Harlequins Reserves. After scoring the initial goal Wroughton maintained the lead throughout the game even though they conceded a couple of goals at the other end. Two goals for both Jonathan Peachey-Score and Nathan Bebato, with Kassa Anderson getting the other Wroughton goal. The two for Peachey-Score sent him joint top of the Premier Division goal scoring chart with Pewsey's Josh Fowler on 14 goals.

Pewsey Vale are up into third spot after a 5-1 home win over bottom of the table Malmesbury Victoria Development in a game switched to Pewsey due to the ongoing issues with the Malmesbury pitch, which hopefully will soon be over. There were two goals for Lewis Clarke, with leading scorer Josh Fowler also adding one more to his total to move onto 14 for the season, Andy Rossiter and Kieran Kiff with the other two Pewsey goals, Charlie Evatt with the consolation goal for Malmesbury.
Another goal for Josh Fowler in Pewsey's 5-1 win over Malmesbury kept him top of the goal scoring chart in the Premier Division.
Melksham Town Reserves slipped a couple of places in the table to fifth spot after they were beaten 2-1 away at Park United, Ben Pring and Ben Selman with the Park United goals, Kegan Smart with his sixth of the season in reply for Melksham Town Reserves.
Calne Town Reserves are the in-form team in the division, and they extended their unbeaten run to six games, five of which have been won, with a comprehensive 5-0 victory over near neighbours Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development. There was a hat-trick for Jack Smith who took his tally for the season to eleven, Harry Stiles and Edward Summers with their first goals of the campaign with the other two Calne goals. The latest victory saw Calne climb a place in the table to sixth spot.
The other form team in the division are Trowbridge Town who made it three wins on the bounce with a narrow 2-1 success at home against Kingsdown. Trowbridge led 1-0 at the break courtesy of an own goal, Connor McKay getting on the end of an Owen Pearce cross and seeing his effort come back off the post but then go in off a Kingsdown defender. Trowbridge then doubled their lead 15 minutes from time, James Cox setting up Charlie Maddison who fired into the bottom corner of the net to make it 2-0. Kingsdown pulled one back late on through Joe English but that was to be the end of the scoring as Trowbridge secured that third straight win ahead of a midweek trip to Larkhall Athletic Development.

Last week Blunsdon were on the wrong end of a late winner at Wroughton, this week it was their turn to benefit from such a late winner in their game against Shrivenham. Zach Bruce had put Blunsdon ahead in the first half, but Matty Horsell brought Shrivenham level on the stroke of half time. Blunsdon were then reduced to ten men 20 minutes from time when John O'Donoghue was shown a second yellow card. There were chances at both ends and just as it looked like the two sides would have to settle for a point apiece, Nick Craft headed in a winner in the final minute of the game for Blunsdon to give them all three points and open up a five-point gap between them and the bottom four.
A 3-1 home win is becoming something of a familiar result at Tucker Park this season as Faringdon Town recorded their fourth such result of the season, their latest victims being Larkhall Athletic Development. Faringdon were ahead as early as the second minute of the game and it was a familiar name on the score sheet with Kyle Bowyer, who recently turned down an approach from another club, getting his ninth of the season. Mitchell Coombes then doubled Faringdon’s lead with just 15 minutes on the clock. Larkhall pulled one back through an own goal and it remained just the one goal in it until the final minute of the game when Josh Lewis eased the home sides nerves with a third Faringdon goal to wrap up the three points.
It was emotional afternoon at Letcombe where the club remembered their former player Jack Badger who sadly recently took his own life, with the club raising money for his family at the game. The afternoon saw Letcombe involved in the final Preliminary Round fixture in the Fountains Trophy Cup with Shrewton United the visitors. In a storming first half Letcombe led 5-0 at the break with Kieron Kerby and Ben Cleary both scoring twice, the other goal coming courtesy of an own goal. Shrewton United manager George Plank got a response from his side in the second half, as they pulled two goals back through recent signing Jack Vallis and Ben Spratt but, the damage had been done in that opening 45 minutes. Letcombe were to have the final say on the afternoon's proceedings, with Jordan Davies adding a sixth to make the final score 6-2. Letcombe will now be away to Pewsey Vale Development in the next round.

Division One
Cricklade Town opened up a four-point lead at the top of the table in midweek with a comprehensive 8-0 win over fourth placed Bishops Cannings, scoring four times in each half. Both Levi Cox and Scott Chilcott hit hat-tricks with further goals from Chris Jackson and Callum Parsons. Unfortunately, they were not able to build on that win on Saturday with Pewsey Vale Development unable to raise a side for their game at the Leisure Centre.

There were some big scores in a couple of the games that did get played in Division One on Saturday with Purton once again going down to a very heavy defeat. Playing on the 3G at Green Lane, they were comprehensively beaten 18-1 by a Bishops Cannings side who themselves had lost heavily in that midweek game. It was a fruitful afternoon for Szymon Raczek as he hit five of the Bishops Cannings goals, Joseph Fallon, Callum Howard and Jack Spanswick all bagged a brace, and there were further goals from seven other players, Oliver Barnes, Caleb Hollow, Sam Ferguson, Dominic Eardley, Eddie King, Kieren Chivers and Bradley Tymms all finding the net. The consolation goal for Purton came through Rob Gray.
There were also plenty of goals in the game at Moredon between Redhouse and Down Ampney with the visitors Down Ampney scoring 11 of the 14 goals in the game. There was just the one goal for leading scorer Charlie McCuish, this time it was Harvey Coster who led the way scoring four of the 11 Down Ampney goals, Paddy Cripps registered a hat-trick, with Lewis Baston, Harry Sealey and Harry Yeates all also getting on the score sheet. In reply for Redhouse, Cameron Shrubb scored twice to take his total for the season to 13 and there was one goal for Jack Duffy.
In contrast to those two high scoring games, it was a much tighter affair at Trowbridge Road where Bradford Town Reserves entertained Marlborough Town. In the end a solitary goal from Bradford Town’s Lex Southall with a deflected free kick was all that separated the two sides.
It was a similar story at Kingsdown School where Kingsdown Development and Bratton were involved in another tight contest which was to see just the one goal in the game. That goal went the way of the home side, Connor Taylor-Harrison’s goal giving Kingsdown only their second win of the season.
The final league game of the day was between Lambourn Sports, who started the day in second spot in the table, and Devizes Town Reserves was very much the Jordan Anning show, with the Devizes striker hitting a first half hat-trick to give his side a 3-0 half time lead. He then rounded his day off with a fourth from the penalty spot in the second half as Devizes moved up to fifth spot, one point behind their beaten opponents and two points behind near neighbours Bishops Cannings, with a game in hand on both. The defeat for Lambourn saw them slip to fourth spot in the table.
It was a successful afternoon for sides from the Corsham Print Wiltshire Senior League in the Berks & Bucks David Grainge Trophy, as both Kintbury Rangers Development and Shrivenham Development progressed to the Second Round courtesy of 4-0 wins. Kintbury Rangers Development found themselves 3-0 up at half time in their game against AFC Winkfield Reserves from the Thames Valley League Division 2 thanks to two goals from Alfie David-Elland and one from Harry Murtagh. A second for Murtagh after the break made sure of Kintbury’s progress into Round 2.
Shrivenham Development join them in the draw for Round 2 after they also won 4-0, their victory coming away at Steventon Reserves from Division Two of the North Berks League. Ryan Bragg led the way helping himself to a hat-trick, Bradley Ellis with the other Shrivenham goal.
