A reminder to all our clubs to act on the following, both prior to playing any friendlies and the season commencing:
Each club needs to provide the following information:
1. Every Club must appoint a Covid-19 Officer. Ideally, this would be a non-playing participant, as they are responsible for ensuring that all Covid-19 measures are observed at all times during the match day. This is a very important role and cannot be underestimated as the Covid-19 Officer will be responsible for ensuring all measures are complied with and observed by all participants. When received by the League, further direction will be provided to the Covid-19 Officers. The Covid-19 Officer will also be responsible for Track and Trace. Please let the League Secretary know who your Covid-19 Officer is.
2. Every Club must complete a Covid-19 Risk Assessment
as per The FA Guidelines previously issued. This should be published on your Club website.
3. Every Club must complete a Facilities Risk Assessment, as per The FA Guidelines previously issued, for your home ground. This is to ensure the facility complies with Covid-19 requirements. As above, this should be published on your Club website.
4. Every Club must be affiliated to their respective County FA. Public Liability Insurance is part of the affiliation process as is providing Players’ Personal Accident Insurance, so the League do not need to see copies of these.
If any of you does not have a Club website, you must ensure that all of your players, Team Managers, coaches, first aiders, etc are fully aware of the risks and the different behaviours / actions they must take during this pandemic.
In order for you to play any games, you must comply with all of the above and provide all the necessary information to the League Secretary.
Please also note that The FA have not yet sent specific guidance to Referees as to their responsibilities in relation to Covid-19. This is expected to be sent in the next few days. In connection with this, we will issue further advice as to the method of payment to Match Officials and the exchange of Team Sheets in due course.
