Greenmeadow’s adult side was formed in 2008, coming out of the successful youth set-up that the club had in the North Wilts & District League.
They immediately made an impact in adult football in that first season and what, in the end, would be their only completed season in the league. They led Junior Division 2 from the off and went on an unbeaten run of 17 games before eventually losing to KMLC. Despite that defeat they were crowned champions by February and were to lose just once more in the league all season. Striker Stuart Hodson would finish as the leading scorer in the division, scoring 34 in the league and another two in a Fountain Trophies Cup run which saw them reach the final. They made the final with victories over Marlborough Town Reserves, AFC Castrol and AFC Greenmeadow. Greenmeadow were not able to do the double though as they lost 1-0 to Chalke Valley after extra-time in the final, a final that also saw them have two players dismissed in extra-time.
After winning the title Greenmeadow were promoted to Junior Division 1 and were holding their own in the division. However, internal difficulties at the club saw them disappointingly withdraw from the league in April 2010 and, despite having played most months of the season, their record still had to be expunged.
