Club Notes
Highworth Athletic started out as King & Queen Highworth in the Swindon & District League in Season 1991-92, climbing up through the league each season. In their first season they finished in third place in Division 3 of the District League winning promotion at the first attempt. In 1992-93 they again finished in third place, this time in the District League Second Division, also winning the Swindon Junior Cup defeating Old Nick in the final.

Following this second successful season they made the step up into Wiltshire League and finished in seventh spot in their first season in the league. With a shortage of teams in Division 3 and a number of clubs applying to join the league this was enough to give Highworth promotion to Division 3.

Their first season at the higher level saw Highworth more than hold their own and they again finished in seventh spot in a strong Junior division of 16 teams. They were not able to build on this and finished in 12th spot in the next two seasons before a tough season in 1997-98, which saw them finish second from bottom and drop out of the league.
