The Premier Division title race was once again keenly contested. After a shaky start which saw them lose at home on the opening day of the season to Shrewton United and then draw against KC’s Club in their second game, defending champions, New College Swindon then went on long 29 game unbeaten league run to retain the title they had won the previous season. In the end they finished nine points clear of their nearest rivals. Runners-Up position was not decided until late in the season, when Westbury Utd also overhauled Pewsey Vale, drawing with New College in their penultimate game and then beating Purton Reserves by a single goal on the final day of the season, whilst rivals Pewsey were losing 4-2 at New College. Pewsey Vale had the consolation of winning the Corsham Print Senior KO Cup, defeating Westbury Utd 1-0 in the final to lift the cup for the second time.
The Division 1 title wasn’t settled until May when Minety caught up their games in hand to pip long time leaders, SKS Blyskawica by one point and also retain the title they had won the previous season. The fixtures in this Division were severely disrupted by the withdrawal of three clubs during the season.
As with Division 1, the honours in Division 2 weren’t settled until May either. Wilton Town won the title in their second season in the League, edging out Moredon Cheney by two points. The fixtures in this division were also severely disrupted by the withdrawal of two Clubs during the season.
Wroughton Res won the Fountain Trophies Junior KO Cup, also for the second time, when they defeated Byrons Wanderers 3-0 in the final.
The end of season awards at the AGM saw R Nelson of Chalke Valley win the Club Secretary’s Award, SKS Blyskawica win the E C Mills Sportsmanship Award and G Davis was presented with the Referees’ Appreciation Award.

As reported by the Gazette and Herald.
Pewsey Vale lifted the Corsham Print Senior Cup with a 1-0 victory over Westbury United, much to the delight of the Vale followers, who have not had much to cheer about over the last few seasons. In a dour final that saw both sides cancel each other out, there was not a lot of goalmouth action until five minutes from time when, following a scramble in the United penalty area, the ball rebounded off of James Hubbard's shin and into the net to give Pewsey victory. Westbury also had Matthew Mead sent off for a bad tackle.

Laverstock & Ford 3 Calne Town 4 (at Salisbury City)
As reported by the Gazette and Herald.
Calne Town put a miserable season behind them to win the Wiltshire Senior Cup at Salisbury City FC last night. The Lilywhites took the lead in the sixth minute when, on the attack, Neurin Jones launched the ball over the midfield for Dan King to run on to. The latter crossed from right to left for Ben Thomson to take one touch and cross the ball back into the 18-yard box for Mark Dolman to score with a sweet header in the top left corner. Nineteen minutes later, Calne went two up when, in a similar move to the previous goal, Dolman scored his and Calne’s second. At the re-start Laverstock & Ford upped the pressure, but it was Calne that went further ahead in the 53rd minute when King stroked the ball home from close range. Seven minutes later, Laverstock pulled a goal back when in a quick attack Rob Gallagher scored against the run of play. Laverstock now began to believe all was not lost and pulled another goal back within four minutes. As much as Laverstock's heads were up, Calne’s were down and the defence went off the boil completely and Laverstock scored an equaliser in the 65th minute. Calne were now up against it, but in the 68th minute, superb work from Rob Drown keeping the ball and tricking the defence, saw him cross to King for the latter to fire home Calne Town’s winning goal.

“We’ve dominated this cup for the last few years, so it was great to win it again,” said the boss.
“It was a good performance and our stand-out performer was Adam Meyhew. He’s normally a striker but switched to play sweeper for this one because of unavailabilities, and he had an outstanding game.
“It’s always great to win any competition and you want to win as much as you can, so we’re now focusing on winning our last league games because if we do that we will win the league too.”
Mitchell put Minety in front after 15 minutes with a well-taken header to finish off a nice team move, but Redlynch pegged them back soon after against the run of play. Almost immediately Mitchell struck once more to hand Dearing’s side the advantage again, only for their opponents to level for the second time, as a free kick from out wide found its way all the way through and into the back of the net. The teams went into half-time all square, but Shaw took advantage of a goalkeeping fumble to head in, with Redlynch’s stopper failing to hold a Mike Lawson set piece. And with 10 minutes to go Minety clinched the cup - captain Packer firing into the roof of the net after they broke at pace.

Minety 4 Redlynch & Woodfalls 2
As reported by the Gazette and Herald.
Minety secured their first silverware of a potential double when they beat Redlynch & Woodfalls United in the Wiltshire Junior Cup final on Saturday. An Andy Mitchell first half double and further efforts after the break from Steve Shaw and Anthony Packer handed Minety a deserved 4-2 victory and their second triumph in the competition in three years. And the win left manager Albert Dearing targeting more success - this time in the Wiltshire League Division One, with his side currently in second and hot on the heels of table-toppers SKS Blyskawica.
“We’ve dominated this cup for the last few years, so it was great to win it again,” said the boss.
