This season saw the league reduce down to just two divisions, one for Senior status clubs and one for those with Junior status.
The Premier Division title was won by Corsham Town Reserves, who led most of the season and finished 19 points clear. FC Chippenham Youth won their games in hand to pip defending champions, New College Swindon to the runners-up position. Whilst New College were unable to make it three straight titles, their third-place finish was enough to enable them to be promoted to the Hellenic League. FC Chippenham Youth won the Corsham Print Senior KO Cup, defeating New College Swindon in the final. A late New College equaliser took the tie into extra time, and then a late Chippenham equaliser took the tie to a penalty shoot-out, which Chippenham won 4-3.
The Division 1 title was won in similar fashion by FC Sanford, who also led most of the season and finished 16 points clear. Due to the late withdrawal of a club, Ludgershall Sports, who had been in second place for most of the season, had to win two of their last three games to pip Marshfield. A 5-2 away win at Nalgo Wanderers was followed by a 9-1 thrashing of Swindon Nalgo to secure that runners-up spot and meant their final game of the season against the champions would have no bearing on the final honours. Intel upset the odds and won their first honours in this league with a deserved 3-0 victory over Ludgershall Sports in the final of the Fountain Trophies Junior KO Cup.
FC Sanford, as well as their league triumph, reached the final of the prestigious Wiltshire Junior Cup. Unfortunately, they were unable to complete a season double when they lost by a single goal to Trowbridge & District League side The Deverills in the final.
The league’s Representative XI played just the one game, a friendly at Devizes, which was intended as a warm-up game for the Western Counties Inter-League Competition against the Gloucestershire and Somerset Leagues. Unfortunately, the weather meant the inter-league competition did not take place in the end.
In the end of season AGM awards, R Nelson of Chalke Valley won the Club Secretary’s Award for the second year in succession, Marlborough Town Res won the E C Mills Sportsmanship Award and Pat Butler was presented with the Referees’ Appreciation Award. After 23 years’ service, Tony Pickett retired from the Management Committee and Robert Cook from Calne and Mrs Janice Kuczynski from Swindon were both elected to the Management Committee.

Manager Dave Ferris toasted a successful season for FC Chippenham Youth as they lifted the Wiltshire League’s Corsham Print Senior KO Cup with a nailbiting penalty shootout win over Swindon’s New College at Corsham Town’s Southbank ground. Kent Kauppinen’s spot-kick clinched the trophy for the Stanley Park side after the sides had finished locked at 2-2 after 120 minutes.
Ferris said: “It’s been an excellent season and if anyone had said that we’d finish second and get to a cup final at the start, we would have bitten their hand off.. “If we’d taken our chances, it should have been over a lot earlier and New College have had two chances, which they took.
“Having said that, we showed a lot of character in coming back and I’m very happy that the lads came back like they did.
“Penalty shootouts are a bit of a lottery and New College played their part – it’s a sad way to lose a cup final.’’

Final
Deverills restarted the second half but they were immediately on the back foot as Sanford set about them with a greater urgency than they showed in the first half and from a Taylor Gill free kick Scanlon headed over. Deverills well organised back four were brilliant as they put their bodies on the line as they fought to preserve their lead. Anything that got though Justin Priest, Mark Corbin, Simon Farrell or Steve Corbin was gathered by the safe hands of keeper Lewis. On 60 minutes he produced a smart save to tip a Taylor Gill free kick to safety. Sanford were now in the ascendancy as they searched for a way back into the game, but despite knocking the ball around really well they were unable to find the end product. On 67 minutes Deverills replaced Spong with Aaron Donaldson and Sanford brought on Dan Hill for Bradley Gill. Hill had an immediate impact as he clattered in to keeper Lewis, who recovered well to pluck a telling cross of the head of Hill, who was already proving to be a handful to Deverills' tiring back line. At the other end, a brave punch from keeper Bizley helped Sanford clear their lines in the 72nd minute and shortly after, an excellent team move almost led to a second for the Deverills, but once again Bizley came to his side's rescue when he produced a brilliant save to turn Donaldson’s shot over the bar. With 10 minutes remaining the game was still anyone’s and only brave defending from Deverills kept Sanford at bay, but when they did get a shot on goal the woodwork denied them an equaliser. On 82 minutes Danny Hiscock was picked out by Taylor Gill’s inch perfect cross but struck the post with keeper Lewis well beaten and a minute later Dan Hill weaved his way in the area but held in head in despair as his goal bound shot deflected out for a corner. Deverills had the chance to kill the game off on 84 minutes when Lee Carpenter rolled the ball to Aaron Stevens who had visions of glory but drove his shot straight at keeper Bizley. It looked odds on that Sanford would somehow fashion a late equaliser and take the final into extra time. But despite injury-time efforts from Chris Quinton and Dan Hill, Deverills held firm to see out the game and claim a famous victory that sees them become the first team from the league since Broughton Gifford in 2004 to lift the cup, which was presented to goalkeeper Scott Lewis by Wiltshire FA Councillor Malcolm Baldwin.

As reported by the Gazette and Herald.
Trowbridge & District League Division One outfit Deverills produced a giant killing act to beat Wiltshire League first division champions-elect FC Sanford to lift this season’s Wiltshire Junior Cup in front of a healthy crowd at Melksham Town’s Conigre ground. Deverills may have gone into the game as underdogs but a brilliant defensive performance and safe hands from young keeper Scott Lewis saw them preserve a fourth-minute lead. Sanford got the first half underway and the first minute saw both teams have half chances to take the lead. Deverills' Rueben Spong fired wide of the target on three minutes but from another Deverills attack the ball fell to Gary Lewis and the veteran striker calmly slipped the ball under the advancing Steve Bizley to give Deverills the lead.
Sanford had their first real effort at goal on seven minutes when Terry Moore headed a free kick wide of the upright and from the resulting goal-kick Lewis worked himself some space and his cross was met by the head of Spong who was just inches away from putting Deverills two up. At this stage it was all the Deverills with Nick Bunyard playing a starring role. On 10 minute he burst into the area only to flash a shot over the bar. Five minutes later Sanford’s Scott Scanlon picked up the first booking of the afternoon when he gave away a needless free kick 18 yards out which Deverills wasted as they failed to test keeper Bizley. Deverills were winning the midfield battle and Sanford were getting frustrated as they were unable to find a way through and were restricted to shooting from distance. But on 26 minutes they had the chance to restore parity when Chris Joyce found the head of Chris Rivers who was unmarked at the back post and should have done better with his team's best chance of the game. Neither side were unable to take control of the game and the rest of the first half turned into a scrappy affair, but it was Deverills who should have scored a second, firstly a well-worked free kick resulted in Steve Corbin firing wide and then when Aaron Stevens robbed his marker his audacious effort from 30 yards flew wide with keeper Bizley well out of position. Lee Carpenter found himself in the referee’s book and the last action of the half saw Sanford’s Chris Quinton’s hopeful 40-yard volley sail wide of the target.
